The AHPRA 5+1 internship requires: (1) minimum 500 hours of direct client contact (up to 60 hrs can be simulated); (2) minimum 60 hours of education and training approved by your principal supervisor; (3) minimum 80 hours of supervision with at least 50 hours individual supervision with your principal supervisor. The minimum program duration is 44 weeks full-time equivalent.
AHPRA requires a minimum of 1 hour of supervision for every 6.25 hours of direct client contact. This is often simplified as roughly one hour of supervision per week for a full-time placement. BreezyTrack calculates and tracks this ratio automatically.
Your principal supervisor must directly observe you a minimum of 4 times per 6-month period — at least 2 assessment sessions and at least 2 intervention sessions. Direct observation can be live or recorded video (must clearly show both parties). BreezyTrack lets you mark and log observation sessions separately.
Section A is your daily practice record. It must include: the date, time, and duration of each client contact activity; the type of activity (assessment, intervention, consultation, etc.); the primary presenting concern (using initials or codes not full names); your competency domain; whether the session was observed; and any notes. BreezyTrack's entry form captures all of this.
You are not required to submit your logbook routinely — only if AHPRA audits you. If audited, you must provide your logbook within 14 days. You also submit your logbook as part of your PACF-76 registration application at the end of the program. BreezyTrack lets you generate a submission-ready export at any time.
Yes. AHPRA allows the 5+1 to be completed part-time at a minimum 0.5 FTE. The program duration scales accordingly — a 0.5 FTE placement takes a minimum of 88 weeks instead of 44. BreezyTrack's projected completion date automatically adjusts to your actual weekly hours.
