FAQ
Everything you need to know about the 5+1 internship requirements, digital sign-off, exports, and BreezyTrack.
The 5+1 internship requires: (1) minimum 500 hours of direct client contact (up to 60 of which can be simulated); (2) minimum 60 hours of education and training approved by your principal supervisor; (3) minimum 80 hours of supervision (at least 50 hours individual with your principal supervisor). The total minimum duration is 44 weeks full-time equivalent.
Your logbook has three sections: Section A (daily practice record — client contact and client-related activities), Section B (education and training portfolio — your 60-hour CPD/study evidence), and Section C (supervision summaries with supervisor feedback). Your supervisor reviews Section A weekly. If AHPRA requests your logbook, you must submit it within 14 days.
AHPRA requires a minimum of 1 hour of supervision for every 6.25 hours of direct client contact. For a standard full-time internship generating around 10–12 hours of client contact weekly, that means roughly 1.5–2 hours of supervision required per week. BreezyTrack calculates this ratio automatically and alerts you when you fall behind.
Your supervisor must directly observe you a minimum of 4 times per 6-month period — at least 2 assessment sessions and at least 2 intervention sessions. Direct observation can be live or recorded (video must clearly show both parties and facial expressions). This is a hard requirement in the AHPRA 5+1 Guidelines.
Yes. AHPRA allows the 5+1 to be completed part-time at a minimum 0.5 FTE. The program duration scales accordingly — a 0.5 FTE placement takes at minimum 88 weeks. BreezyTrack automatically adjusts your projected completion date based on your actual weekly hours logged.
Yes. BreezyTrack includes a full supervisor collaboration workflow. Invite your supervisor with a secure link — they can view your entries, leave comments, approve weekly submissions, and digitally sign review periods. Everything is timestamped and locked once signed, meeting the audit-trail requirements if AHPRA requests your records.
Yes. BreezyTrack supports a principal supervisor and one secondary supervisor — matching the AHPRA 5+1 program structure. Your principal supervisor can approve any entry. Your secondary supervisor can review and approve entries assigned to them. You must add a principal supervisor before adding a secondary.
No. Supervisors use BreezyTrack completely free. They get a full reviewing and sign-off workflow — reviewing entries, leaving structured feedback, approving weekly submissions, and digitally signing review periods — all at zero cost. Only the provisional psychologist (the intern) needs a paid subscription.
BreezyTrack generates multiple export formats: a Final Logbook PDF (suitable for AHPRA submission with supervisor attestation block), an Audit Bundle ZIP (comprehensive — includes CSVs, immutable audit trail, and a signatures manifest), and a CSV for manual verification. All exports are generated in one click from the Exports screen.
For the 5+1 pathway, you are eligible to sit the NPE during the sixth year of training. You do not need to have completed all your internship hours before sitting. However, you must pass the NPE before your supervisor can submit the final PACF-76 form and before AHPRA will process your general registration application.
The scaled pass grade is 70 per cent. If you fail once or twice, you can re-sit in the next exam period. After three failures, you cannot re-sit until your registration renewal — you will need to submit a Statement and Plan for Professional Development (SPPD-76). After six failures, the Board may propose to refuse your registration application.
Yes. BreezyTrack is designed to meet the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. Your data is stored exclusively on Australian servers (Supabase Sydney region), is encrypted at rest with AES-256, and is transmitted over TLS. Row-Level Security ensures no user can access another user's data. We never sell or share your personal or client information.
We strongly recommend using client initials or a numeric code rather than full names (e.g. "Client 07" or "A.B."). AHPRA's own logbook guidelines suggest using initials for privacy. BreezyTrack does not require full client names at any point — only what is needed for your own record-keeping.
No. Your BreezyTrack account and all logbook data belong to you personally. If you change employers or switch supervisors, your records come with you. Your supervisor has read-only access to the entries and periods you share — they cannot edit, delete, or export your data without your involvement.
If you cancel, your account is downgraded to a read-only state for 90 days. During this period you can still log in, view your records, and export your full logbook. After 90 days, your data is permanently and securely deleted. You will never lose access to your records unexpectedly.
Yes — 14 days free, no credit card required. The free trial includes full access to every feature: unlimited log entries, supervisor collaboration, all export formats, NPE study prep, analytics, and guides. After the trial, the first paid month is AU$9, then AU$15/month. You can cancel at any time with no lock-in.
Three key differences: (1) Compliance — a spreadsheet has no audit trail and cannot prove when entries were made or that they haven't been altered; BreezyTrack creates an immutable, timestamped record that meets AHPRA audit standards. (2) Supervision workflow — digital sign-off replaces the print-sign-scan-email loop entirely. (3) Auto-calculations — all hours, ratios, and progress percentages update in real time with zero formulas.
Absolutely. BreezyTrack tracks hours cumulatively regardless of your weekly load. AHPRA allows the 5+1 to be completed part-time (minimum 0.5 FTE), and BreezyTrack automatically adjusts the projected completion date as you log entries. There is no assumption of full-time hours.
Yes. BreezyTrack supports psychology registrars completing MPsych, Doctoral, and DPsych/PsyD programs. Registrars get a CPD logbook with supervised practice tracking, supervisor review workflows, and program-specific export formats. Your logbook automatically adapts to your registration pathway.
Yes. Generally registered psychologists can use BreezyTrack to log their annual CPD activities against the minimum 30-hour requirement. You can categorise activities by type, track completion progress, and generate a clean PDF summary for AHPRA compliance or practice records.
Yes. Psychologists pursuing or maintaining an Area of Practice Endorsement can use BreezyTrack to manage their full CPD portfolio. You can log endorsement-specific supervised practice hours, track category requirements, and export a compliant portfolio bundle. Multiple endorsements can be managed in the one account.
Yes. Supervisors get a dedicated panel where you can manage all your supervisees simultaneously. You can review log entries, leave comments on individual entries, approve weekly submissions, and digitally sign review periods — all from one place. There is no limit on the number of supervisees you can link to your account.
